Why go abroad?

Reasons to study abroad

10 years ago, having an experience abroad represented an advantage in the job market.
Today, having an experience abroad is necessary.

  • Thanks to the International Relations Office and as a part of your study program, you have the possibility to follow one or several academic semesters abroad and integrate them to your school’s academic background. In some cases, this can even lead to a double degree.
  • From your 1st year of studies, your school and the International Relations Office will prepare you to these mobilities. In addition, you will benefit from information meetings and custom assistance all along your stay.
  • Once arrived, you will be supervised by our partners, your school and the International Relations Office, benefiting from 30 years of experience in the field.
  • All partner universities have been chosen for the quality of their teaching and welcome – all are accredited on both regional/national and/or international level
  • Lectures are taught by teachers that are also professionals and/or teacher-researchers – at Doctorate level. They can be figures of the political, economic, diplomatic world.
  • In some cases, you have the possibility to extend your academic stay with an internship.

Whether before, during or after, these semesters abroad aim to allow you to:

  • Improve your linguistic knowledge
  • Discover a new culture and another pedagogical approach, other ways to work and live
  • Develop your skills and knowledge in multicultural situations
  • Develop your sense of autonomy, initiative, your self-confidence by realizing your real added-value
  • Express your strengths and development points
  • Develop your capacities and talents
  • Internationalize your contact network and open up your opportunities
  • Increase your competitiveness on the job market both in France and abroad

If it is well prepared and done, an academic stay or an internship abroad represents a fantastic accelerator of personal and professional development, in addition to the academic knowledge you will benefit from.
