Strengths
Campuses are located mainly in the south of Holland and Fontys Hogescholen is one of the largest Dutch universities. Despite the large number of students, education at Fontys is organized on a small scale. The university has more than a hundred partner universities.

Campus
The university has 3 campuses : Eindhoven, Tilburg and Venlo. You will be on the Tilburg Campus. All campuses are equipped with computer rooms, libraries and university restaurants.

Tilburg is a vibrant and cultural city with many artistic events and festivals. It is hosting various cultural institutions. The campus is located on the outskirts of Tilburg, close to buses and safe cycle paths. Tilburg has a lot to offer to its students, including a vibrant student life. More than 28,000 students study at one of the 3 universities in Tilburg.

The big attraction is the Textile Museum where you will discover everything about the present and past of the textile industry. You can also take a look at Vincent van Gogh’s drawing room at the Stadsmuseum in Tilburg. This is where Van Gogh took his first drawing lessons at the age of 13. You will also find the largest pop stage in the south of Holland in Tilburg: Popcentrum 013. This building has a remarkable look with its rounded shapes that seem to be hundreds of CDs stuck on it.
Good to know
Every year in July, Tilburg hosts the Tilburg Fair for 10 days. This fair is the largest in the Benelux and attracts 1.5 million visitors every year. The entire city center is the site of the funfair, full of attractions and a great deal of fun.

Procedures
ID Card or passport (compulsory for destinations outside the EU) valid for six months after your return date.
No specific medical insurance is required. Health coverage by the French social security (European Health Insurance Card).
For non-European students, applying for a visa before your departure is compulsory. The university helps you with the procedures.
